Spiral Melt Candles FAQ
Where does all the wax go?
This is our number one question on our TikTok comments. When people see the time-lapse of our Spiral Melts burning so quickly it seems as if the beeswax is disappearing like magic. But like all other candles, the wax is evaporating. When you light your candle the flame on the wick burns and melts the wax. The heat of the flame vaporizes the wax turning it into hot gas and up into the air. This is why you can smell the candle scent. We breathe this. And this is why it’s so important to have natural and healthy burning candles in your home. Burning a paraffin candle is like having a diesel engine on in your own home.
What keeps the Spiral Melt dripping inside?
The spiral wick is located closer to the inside layer of the walls of the beeswax, hence, this is why it spills inwards.
Can my Spiral Melt spill outwards?
Normally it shouldn’t. We have performed thousands of burn tests on all existing shapes. With that said, it is possible for the spiral candle to drip outside. These are candles and flame can be unpredictable at times. The wick is located closer to the inside layer of the beeswax and hence this is why it should spill inwards. But the wick can curl outwards causing a drop of wax to spill the opposite way but soon after it will continue its regular course. Check out this video that answers this question.

Beeswax
What are Spiral Melt Candles made of?
They are made of 100% beeswax. We do not mix our beeswax with any type of wax.
After a few weeks of buying my Spiral Melt I saw that it started getting a dusk-like film on the surface, is that mold? How do I get rid of that?
This is not mold, this is called “Bloom”. It’s a natural oxidation process that occurs only in 100% pure beeswax. You just need to wipe or buff with a smooth cloth and it will be good as new. More info.
Do you make spiral candles in paraffin wax?
We do not make paraffin spiral candles because we are environmentally friendly we only use natural wax. We do not use or recommend any petroleum base wax for candles such as paraffin.
Eco-Friendly
How are you guys eco-friendly?
We only use recycled or natural products throughout our entire process. Our shipping/packaging is only made with recyclable kraft paper, recycled newspaper, or cardboard boxes. Our minimum labels are made of 100% recycled paper, our bottom bases are 100% aluminum, our wick is made of cotton and paper and we only use 100% beeswax. We are no longer using any type of plastic to pack.
Do you make vegan Spiral candles?
Not at the moment. We are looking into soy or palm wax for vegan alternatives because we need a very strong wax so we are still testing.
Do you guys custom make different types of spiral candles?
Yes, we do. It really depends on what you are looking for. We may or may not need a minimum order. Is this a change of color, scent, shape, to add a logo Please email us with details.
